It's my "pre" birthday!

Who gets a "pre" birthday... I'll tell you who, I do! Auntie Lynne sent me a tickle monkey that cracks me up and a cute birthday outfit. Part of which I wore to Spencer's 5th b-day party on Sunday (I'm saving the tutu part for my b-day :-)). Then I get to Spencer's awesome party and had a great time swimming and playing only to be given a new ride and super fun toy (Mama says it's "educational") to use when I left. I'm the luckiest girl!

Let's talk about (Daddy's) shoes!

For a long time now, actually since I could walk, I've had this thing for shoes. The "thing" is usually just carrying shoes around... the bigger the better. Dad's shoes, Mama's big boots. I carry them by their strings or two at a time.



Now I'm changing it up and wearing the shoes, size is not an issue... see for yourself.

This year we got a lot of holiday cards with pictures so Terri gave us the great idea to laminate them and use it as a placemat. It's really cool because it let's me see the people far and wide who I love and love me back. I know a lot more than the video shows but my Mom can't always get everything on film :-). If you want to be on next year's placemat send us a holiday card with a picture!

Happy Birthday!

Before I came along my cousin Amanda was the 'baby' of the grandkids, but now I'm here and she's 16 years old... today... I'm the baby! I don't think she minds because now she can drive out here and visit us. Happy Sweet 16 cousin! OXOX

I'm moving around a lot now so my folks are looking for ways to confine me for short periods of time. I'm pretty easy-going and humor them a lot by just hanging out quietly in my crib or playpen, but when Mama put me in this box I had to make it clear that it just wasn't an option... but fun to play in nonetheless.

Something old and something new...

This is the "something old," when I was very little I liked this sling a lot and now my folks have rediscovered it and made some adjustments and I like it all over again... and it's bouncy!

And the "something new" is my new mat that I can crawl around on. I'm getting really good especially when I'm really motivated... like if there is something on the mat I want to put in my mouth :-).

In my Crib

I like hanging out in my crib. Now I can roll over and get up on my hands and knees. Whenever Dadeo is looking at me on the video monitor Mama asks what I'm doing. Lately Dadeo says, "She's tied the sheets together in knots and is climbing out of the crib." Little does he know exactly how close I am to actually doing that! From my Crib to yours... XOXO E. Organic Shmorganic

I chew on everything these days... there's this bright pink, purple and checkered snail on my exersaucer (see my previous post)... not organic. Makes Mama crazy she even tried to hide it once. I was so happy when Dad found it and put it back. Anyway in the meantime, Mama has been sewing these kinda deformed "chew toys" out of left over material from my bumper pad. This is her attempt at a snail... I chew on it to make her happy.

Elliot's New Bumper

Here I am lounging in my crib with a styling new bumper pad... talk about taking a village. My mom sent fabric to Grandma who made the bumper and then sent it back where my Gami sewed the ribbons on. We're a crafty bunch.

This is me playing with my Dad, he's really good at getting a laugh out of me for the silliest little things. I love him. XO Munchkey... that's what he calls me. I think it's a cross between a munchkin and monkey... I have no idea what he is thinking... but it makes him happy.

Benny and the Jets or Wonka Vision...

I got some cool new shades that actually fit my little noggin'. It's a toss up if they make me look like: A. Elton John or B. Johnny Depp as Willie Wonka. I say a little bit of 'A' and a little bit of 'B' with a little Audry Hepburn thrown in.

Gotta love the Irish!

This is My oldest cousin Jennifer and my Aunt Pop. They came to L.A. for the GRAMMYs but most importantly to meet me. We had fun. Here we are at Tom Bergins Irish Pub for lunch. Aunt Pop likes Irish Coffee. When you become a "regular" here you get to hang a shamrock with your name on it. Aunt Pop tried to convince them to give her one because her maiden name is McGuire... nice try! Cary Grant has one and my Mom saw Kevin Dillon get his a few years back. This place has been around for 75 years!

I figure I could become a regular here seeing as I'm starting at 4 1/2 months old! I'm going for the shamrock... I am a Murphy after all.

Activity Time

Here are a couple videos of me and Mom looking at my animal cards and bouncy bears. It's what we do during my activity time. You'll want to turn your speakers down when Mom is talking... I'm not sure why she talks in that weird voice when she is talking to me. But turn it up again then to hear some of my first vocalizing... I guess they call it cooing. Happy New Year!

I'm three months old, plus a little story

I went the see Dr. Susie yesterday. I weigh 10 lbs. 7.5 oz. and am 22 3/4 inches long. I've doubled my weight and grown more than 4 inches! Mom says I'll be outgrowing the sink and my little bath tub very soon.

A Little Story: One day, a few years back my Grandma Murphy was visiting my folks and they took her to the quilting Mecca of SoCal. So my Mom sees a bunch of baby quilts and says, they are really cute... when we have a baby I'd like something like that. So Grandma Murphy says, if you don't think it will jinx it I'd like to have you all pick some patterns and I'll make you one. At this point my folks had already been waiting for me a couple years... so my Mom (knowing I would eventually come) said, that would be great. Fast forward a few years and here we are... me and my quilt... finally together!

A new cozy blanket

Hi, this is a picture of me in my bouncy seat with the beautiful green blanket that my great, great aunt Joyce in Biloxi made for me. I had a fun morning. I went to watch Howard and Reno read Bruce Bruce the Hanukkah Moose and sing the song at a bookstore on Larchmont. There were a few kids there that had never heard the song before and they were totally moving to the beat! It's a catchy tune! Check it out at brucebrucethemoose.com.

I had a video chat with Chris and Bill in Chicago and also with my Grandma and Grandpa in Kentucky. My Dad says it's like the Jetsons... I'm not sure what that means. I like video chats... so look me (or my folks) up.
